Final Medical Update

I am hoping that this will be the final medical update on me for a LONG time (if ever..)

I received Good News from the Doctor Wednesday. She told me to go home and put some shoes on!

She told me to walk using a walker and start getting my legs strong. I am to use the wheelchair if I have to go long distances for the next couple weeks until I get stronger—but it’s all good news.

I am back at work full time now. I have my walker here at work for using around the office and I also have my wheelchair here to get down to the bathrooms or elsewhere on campus.

I am Sooo happy!! It has been a LONG 9 weeks.

Another Medical Update

I went back to work half days this past week, 8-noon.
but Thursday, when I got out of my carpool buddie's car, transferred into the borrowed wheelchair I'm keeping at work, and started inside the building with the aid of my co-worker--one of the front wheels on the wheelchair collapsed (no, I haven't gained more weight :)) I was able to get into the building and sit in an office chair...which by the way, does NOT roll well on carpet!
so Steve came in to campus and got me and brought me home ;(
On Friday we got a snow storm with a total of 10 inches, so I stayed home to be safe.
I WAS able to bring some work home with me but it's about 5/6 hours of work...
8 weeks this Friday since my accident-I am SO tired of this...
I have an appointment on the 25th to see my Ortho Doctor, so I am hoping I will be vertical after that, at least with a walker or cane.
